Introduction
Gedor Architecture is a registered firm in Maldives that offers consultancy services in building design, engineering, project costing and financing, project management and construction supervision services. Established in 1993 as a part-time office with only two architects and an engineer as partners, Gedor now has five partners, has increased the number of staff and become a full-time office in 1997. Currently, Gedor has 13 full-time staff and 7 part-time staff. It has widened its scope of services and provides a high quality and efficient service. Gedor is now the largest building design firm in the country and the only firm that can provide all building related professional services under one roof. The company has extensive experience of working with end-users and meeting clients' needs, and has developed a record of delivering projects on time and on budget. Gedor’s primary objective is to provide an efficient service, and its uniqueness in providing such services is in the multi-disciplinary nature of the organisation. Projects could be carried through all stages of from planning and construction through to property management and M & E maintenance. In addition to design and supervision work, Gedor has carried out a number of developmental proposals and plans, feasibility studies and construction related studies. It has successfully designed and developed a wide range of building types: Gedor has extensive experience of designing and supervising construction of tourist resort developments. It has prepared and won various bid proposals for tourist resort developments. Gedor has also provided consultancy services as the local partner for foreign design firms and has acted as the client representative for projects involving foreign consultants and contractors. |
