Gedor Architecture offers consultancy services in design, engineering, project costing and financing, project management and construction supervision services. Gedor is now possibly the largest building design firm in the country and the only building design firm that can provide all building related professional services under one roof. Over the years, Gedor has designed and supervised many building projects in Male’, in tourist resort islands and in inhabited and uninhabited islands in the atolls. It has carried out a number of developmental proposals and plans, feasibilities and construction related studies. It has successfully designed and supervised multi-storey buildings in Male’; regional bank buildings, residential buildings and mosques in the atolls; factories and warehouses, shops and office interiors. In addition, it has designed and supervised construction of a number of tourist resort developments and prepared bid proposals for tourist resort developments. Gedor has also provided consultancy services as the local partner for international design firms and has acted as the client representative for projects involving foreign consultants and contractors.

Gedor’s primary objective is to provide an efficient service, and its uniqueness in providing such services is in the multi-disciplinary nature of the organisation. All services could be provided together at a professional level due to the access to different professionals working as a team. Projects could be carried through all stages of planning, socio-economic feasibility, architectural and engineering design, cost estimation, value engineering, tendering, project management, construction supervision, quality control, and post occupancy evaluation.
